Haven't started to build my kite yet. But KAP reel is ready. I saw couple samples on internet. Firstly I draw some scratch on my computer and after that I render drawings. The result was OK I want to make it with 8mm plywood. I already had 10 mm so I decided to use this plywood. I had a brown furniture fixings but I bought chrome parts from hardware store. Pipes are made from 10mm aluminium. First plan was a 40mm holes but I couldn't find necessary bid. So I change plan for 35 mm. I made a circular sanding mechanism from grinding machine. I open a 6mm hole, center of circle and fix it to bottom part. Fix the distance between center point and sanding surface, and rotate part nice and easy. The edges are perfect after that process. I cut all distance pipes. And finish to assemble the reel.KAP rig was finished earlier. Now it's time to build kite.
